This has been buzzing around the DJ forums for a few months, I finally decided to write about it.  It seems pretty good and handy, but seems to work only with MACS, so PC guys are out of luck.  The official description is below:

“MiDi-to is a wireless DJ MiDi controller designed for Serato Scratch Live™. It is the first iPad MiDi controller designed for Serato that does not need any additional software to work. MiDi-to takes advantage of the new Core MIDI framework available with iOS 4.2 which minimizes setup and latency.  MiDi-to is designed by DJs for DJs with ease of use and ergonomics as priorities. It is a performance tool that empowers Serato users to control Cue points, FXs, Loops and track selection directly on the iPad. We tried to create a layout that is uncluttered and functional.”

Again, these are just a few singles I found particularly interesting for 2010, there are thousands more on your list I’m sure, but we are all different, and we all like what we like.  And I had to stop my list somewhere or it would go on and on.

Due to being on vacation and celebrating the holidays myself, I missed the initial release of  DJ Kitsune’s final compilation.  Read what he says about this one, “What is part 4 of 1-2-3-4 about, you ask? It’s all about Grooves. That means beats. And drums. And great production. Music that makes you wanna nod your head, tap your feet or shake your hip, whatever you usually do when you like a song. Cause these records are really made to move people. Some are a little smoother but still have that special flow, some are just banging, block-rocking beats. As usual, please don’t expect your usual suspects in here, and please – if you like a song, go support the artists by buying their albums.”  Go to his page and download here.

As the New Year approach take some time to reflect on the past and get ready to make a splash in the future.

His saga continues, DJ Kitsune has dropped part 3 of his quest to enlighten all with musical goodness.  This one is all about the lyrics and rhymes.  Some great MC’s who spit great knowledge and wisdom in and beween the lines.  Peep Volume 3 and be prepared for part 4 of the series.  Go to here to download.

OBIE TRICE, REAL NAME NO GIMMICK!!  I always liked this guy from Detroit.  I’m sorry he’s not with the Shady Camp anymore.  But this new video and song is pretty tight.  Check it out!

Monster in collaboration with Disney Consumer Products connected to release a  “Tron: Legacy” movie-based audio dock,  and a pair of high-end headphones.

The headphones ($349.95) were created in collaboration with the music duo Daft Punk, who also produced the soundtrack for the new movie. They feature advanced studio driver design, extra-large over-ear drivers, advanced noise isolation technology and an LED light drive system (which is extremely cool).

The dock ($249.95) has a look that is inspired by the movie’s data disk and works with an iTunes app.  More information on these products can be found here.

DJ Kitsune has  dropped the second part to his newest series, as I am writing this, I’m listening to it.  I’m three songs in and loving it.  Unlike Part one, this one contains singers spanning over the last 30 years.  These are all songs that you could listen to in a lounge after work, or while at home making a meal for your loved one.  Good job once again DJ Kitsune, two down and two to go!
